- Book/Movie Club: Join Fr. Magat on Monday Nights at 7:30 PM. We will be watching the hit DVD series “Catholicism”. We will meet at Charlotte & Karolyn’s. For more information, please email Father Magat at fathermagat@gmail.com.
- Feb. 10-12: Young Adult Ski Trip with Our Lady of Hope and St. Mark's. Contact Angie Pometto at apometto@stmark.org. We leave on Feb. 10th at 5:30 PM and return by 10 PM on Feb. 12th. Trip is to 7 Springs in Western PA.
- Feb. 17: Concert w/Allan Palacios Chan at the Cathedral at 8 PM. Meet at the parish at 6:40 PM to travel up. Cost: is a free will offering.
- Mar 2: Stations, Mass, soup supper out and adoration to follow.
- Mar 16: Movie Night
- Mar 18: Historic Church Tour in Northern Virginia
- Mar 30: Movie Night
- April 22: Historic UVA tour in Charlottesville
- May 20: White Water Rafting
Gabriel Project Volunteer Training
The Gabriel Project Volunteer Training is a free event to learn how to assist expecting mothers in our parish. Our next training will take place on February 4th from 9AM to 12:30 PM at St. Rita Catholic Church in Alexandria. 2012 Catholic Charities Ball “Precious Pearls of Hope”
Join Bishop Paul S. Loverde and the supporters of Catholic Charities for a night of fun to benefit Catholic Charities in the Diocese of Arlington’s many programs and works of mercy in our diocese. Parish Health Fair
Come out to our Parish Health Fair on Sunday, February 12th from 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM in the parish center. Blood pressure screening, health information available and CPR/AED class sign up. All are welcome.
St. Michael the Archangel High School Open House
St. Michael the Archangel High School will be hosting an Open House on Sunday, February 12th, from 1– 4 PM at our campus off Route 3 in Fredericksburg. All interested students and their families are invited to stop by to take a tour, meet our faculty, administrators, and board, and speak with the current students about all that St. Michael has to offer. SMHS is an independent, coeducational high school steeped in Catholic tradition and values, offering a comprehensive, personally challenging, college-preparatory academic program focused on developing the full potential of each student. Divine Mercy Care Donations
The Catholic Culture Committee at St. William of York School is collecting new baby items for Divine Mercy Care (see www.divinemercycare.org for monetary donations). The collection runs from January 23rd until February 14th. Please bring items to a donation box in the school lobby. Divine Mercy Care is a non-profit Catholic-faith based pro-life organization that was founded by Dr. John Bruchalski. Divine Mercy Care’s principal program is Tepeyac Family Center, an OB/GYN medical practice that treats patients regardless of individual financial circumstances.
A Valentine Luncheon Invitation
Seniors 50 and over please join us for our February Luncheon. Please bring your favorite dish to share or a $3.00 donation. See you February 14th at noon. The Outreach donation this month is laundry or dish detergent.

Separated? Divorced? Widowed?
The Rebuilding Program, sponsored by the office of Family Life, helps people who are separated, divorced, or widowed and want to move on with their lives. The nine week program starts Sunday, Feb. 26th and meets Sunday evenings 5:30-8:00 PM at St. Martin De Porres Center in Alexandria, VA. Important issues related to moving on after the loss of your spouse are discussed each week. There are presentations, guest speakers, and participant interaction. First Friday Eucharistic Adoration
Eucharistic Adoration will begin on Friday, March 2nd, after the 9:00 AM Mass and continue until 6:15 PM. Adoration will resume after the 6:30 PM Mass until midnight. Please join our parish community every First Friday as we adore our Lord on the altar.
An Hour a Day ~ An Hour a Week
Parishioners of Saint William of York are
challenged to lift their hearts and minds in
prayer to The Lord for at least one hour a day.
We also are asked to donate at least the
equivalent of one hour’s wages per household to
the regular offertory collection each week.
Have I prayed for at least one hour a day this
week? Was our weekly offertory donation
equivalent to at least one hour’s wages?
Adoption Information Meetings
Catholic Charities holds monthly Adoption Information meetings for anyone interested in learning more about how to expand their family through adoption. The meetings are free of charge and are held at the Burke office, 5294 Lyngate Court, Burke, Va. 22015. The presentation will cover Catholic Charities’ domestic, international, interstate, and parental placement adoption programs. Please call to register, as space is limited by calling (703) 425-0100.
Saint William of York School Spirit Items
The SWoY Athletic Department’s Spirit Item sales are ongoing throughout the course of the school year. Items are on display at every home sports event as well as all PTO events.
