Serving St. William of York Catholic Church at 3130 Richmond Hwy, Stafford, VA 22554 since 1982, Father Widmer Council #7877 is a brotherhood of Catholic men dedicated to being better husbands, fathers, sons, neighbors, and Catholics. We invest our time, our effort, and our resources in living out the principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism.
Founded in 1982, our council has supported St. William of York Parish for more than four decades through service, prayer, and commitment to strengthening our families.
Our Mission
We serve Christ by serving others. Our mission is to support our pastor, assist parish ministries, help families grow in faith, and provide charitable outreach to those in need. Everything we do is rooted in Catholic values and guided by teachings of the Church.
What We Do
Council #7877 carries out the Knights of Columbus Faith in Action program model through four pillars:
ï‚· Faith – Rosaries, Holy Hours, retreats, and support for parish liturgical life.
ï‚· Family – Parish breakfasts, dinners, youth activities, and events that strengthen family bonds.
ï‚· Community – Food drives, charity fundraising, service projects, and support for local organizations.
ï‚· Life – Pro-life advocacy, support for mothers, and respect-life ministries.
Our Parish Partnership
We proudly serve St. William of York Catholic Church. Our council works closely with parish leadership to support ministries, events, and the spiritual life of the community. We are honored to be a visible sign of Catholic service within the parish.
Our Members
Father Widmer Council #7877 consists of Catholic men from all backgrounds – fathers, husbands, professionals, retirees, and young adults – united by a desire to serve and striving to better ourselves and the world. We welcome men who want to grow in faith, build friendships, and make a meaningful impact.
Our Meetings
We meet the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM in the Council Home and begin by praying the Rosary. All official members in good standing may attend. Approved guests or prospective members may attend special portions by invitation or prior approval of the Grand Knight.
