The St. William of York Usher Ministry provides
parishioners a unique opportunity to serve in an
important role during Mass.Ushers are scheduled monthly according to their preferred Mass times and availability. As a ministry of hospitality, St. William of York ushers strive to make parishioners and guests feel welcome and comfortable as we gather together to worship.
Duties of ushers include:- Greeting parishioners and visitors
- Assisting with seating
- Taking up Offertory collections
- Serving as Eucharistic Guards during Communion
- Handing out bulletins after Mass
Requirements for becoming an usher:
- 18 years or older
- Catholic
- Registered parishioner at St. William of York
- Dependable and able to commit to a monthly schedule
